Since opening on Darby Street in 1999, Benjamas Thai has been delighting Newcastle with our beloved Thai cuisine. Now in its third generation, Benjamas has thrived under the leadership of Owner Chef Chinn since 2019. Graduating with a degree in Architecture, Chef Chinn combines a passion for both cooking and design. By blending these two loves, we continue to evolve Benjamas, creating a dining experience that is both delicious and beautifully crafted.
Rooted in authentic home-cooking recipes, our dishes bring the comforting flavors of traditional Thai kitchens to your table. Our mission remains the same: to share the joy of Thai cuisine and make every visit to Benjamas a memorable one.
If I could give 10 stars for the food and service I would. Food was sensational, the flavours were outstanding. Ordered the curry puffs which were melt in the mouth, vegetable fried rice, sensational, crispy pork which was double crispy top and bottom but soft and juicy in the middle, the chicken with pumpkin in a satay sauce melt in the mouth chicken so tender. Generous servings top notch.
Gorgeous place, I got up and had a look around, beautiful paintings and ornaments you can really feel the culture as you dine in. Enjoyed curry puffs, chicken penang curry with coconut rice and a vegetarian noodle.
Most delicious and authentic Thai food in Newy. Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. We go there all the time and I highly reccomend! If you like spicy just ask them for Thai style spicy. Top notch and tastes just like Thailand
